Planter with bottles

About my design:

4 used and discarded wine bottles melted flat, designed to be used as a planter using reclaimed wood.I use my glass kiln very efficiently and the energy used to melt these bottles is far less than the cost of these being dumped in a landfill.

India has a history of reuse and recycling. With today's economic development the 'use and throw' way of life is catching on. It is my quest as an artist to show that reusing and recycling things need not be shabby or tacky but can be aesthetic and modern fuctional art
