About my design:
This dress is part of a series of explorations into using uncommon and recylcable materials to create fashion. Using the paper clip's natural shimmer to embellish the dress, it transforms the object from something ordinary and gives it an entirely new identity. By tacking each one down individually, the dress becomes reminiscent of the 1920s flapper dresses with a modern twist. Also, because the paperclips are hanging free, light is caught at every angle and transforms the look of the dress with every movement.
