About my design:
A few more sketch/notebooks made of waste. The story is the same: the paper comes from old notebooks' blank pages and packaging materials etc.
But this time two of the sketchbooks are covered with leather. Also, I used a different sewing-technique. This leather I saved several years ago in a furniture shop where new leather samples come every year and the old ones are usually thrown out. These are high quality leathers, in various colors, only the size is the same.
Using leather resulted in a different design, with a much more contemporary look. The third sketchbook with the spiral is covered with leftover textile which suited the brown and the blue ones very well and the closing element is a rubber band from my deepest drawer..
